Contract and steps taken at your request
We may use your information where necessary to:
provide a Circle entry link you requested;
process your Circle entry;
establish or manage your Circle membership;
process an order;
take payment;
arrange delivery;
administer a return or refund; or
perform another part of our agreement with you.

You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before it was withdrawn.
Legitimate interests
We may use information where it is reasonably necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Our legitimate interests include:
operating Môr and the Circle;
administering limited Circle places fairly;
responding to customer enquiries;
maintaining accurate business records;
preventing fraud and misuse;
securing our website and systems;
understanding business performance;
improving our website and customer experience;

tax obligations;
accounting requirements;
consumer-protection laws;
product-safety requirements;
court orders; or
other legal and regulatory obligations.
6. Circle waiting-list SMS messages
The first SMS
When you enter your mobile number and select JOIN, you request an SMS from Môr containing the link needed to continue or complete your Circle entry.
The first SMS will contain:
the link to continue your Circle entry; and
instructions explaining that you can reply STOP to opt out of further SMS messages.
Incomplete-entry reminders
By entering your mobile number and selecting JOIN, you agree that, if you do not complete your Circle entry, Môr may send you a limited number of reminder messages.
We will send no more than three incomplete-entry reminders.
These reminders may:
tell you that your Circle entry remains incomplete;
provide a link to continue the entry;
explain the steps still required; and
identify the Circle process you began.
The first signup-link message is not counted as one of the three reminder messages.
Stopping SMS messages
You can stop further reminder and marketing SMS messages at any time by:
replying STOP to an SMS; or
contacting jason@morperfumery.co.
Once your opt-out has been processed, we will not send further incomplete-entry reminders or promotional SMS messages to that number.
We may still contact you by email or another appropriate method where necessary in connection with:
an active order;
a payment;
a return or refund;
product safety;
a legal obligation; or
an existing Circle membership.
We may retain a minimal suppression record containing your mobile number so that we can continue to respect your opt-out.
7. Circle entries and selection processes
Joining the Circle waiting list does not guarantee that you will be selected for membership.
We may use your information to:
verify that your entry is complete;
administer the selection process;
prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries;
contact you about the outcome;
attempt to take an authorised payment if you are selected; and
establish your Circle membership following successful payment.
If you are not selected, you may remain eligible for future selection processes unless you ask us to remove you from the waiting list.
You can ask to leave the waiting list by contacting us.
8. Circle and order communications
Where you complete a Circle entry, become a member or place an order, we may contact you about:
confirmation of your entry;

membership confirmation;

returns;
refunds;

These communications are separate from general promotional marketing.
9. Marketing communications
We may send marketing by email or SMS where:
you have consented;
the existing-customer soft opt-in applies; or
another lawful route permits us to do so.
Marketing may include information about:
Môr fragrances;
future releases;
Circle availability;
events;
products;
offers; and
other Môr news.
You are not required to agree to general marketing to place an order or become a Circle member.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message.
You can stop marketing SMS messages by replying STOP, where available, or by contacting us.
We do not sell your personal information to other organisations for their marketing.

Where an organisation acts as our processor, it is only permitted to process personal information for agreed purposes and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
12. International transfers
Some providers or their systems may be located outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure that an appropriate legal transfer mechanism is used.
Depending on the destination and provider, this may include:
UK adequacy regulations;
the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
the UK Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses; or
another transfer safeguard permitted by UK data-protection law.
You may contact us for further information about safeguards used for a particular transfer.
13. How long we retain information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
Our usual retention periods are as follows.
Incomplete Circle entries
Information relating to an incomplete entry will normally be retained while the reminder process is active and for up to 30 days after the final reminder.
It may be retained for longer where:
you subsequently complete the entry;
you ask us to retain it;
it is needed to honour an opt-out;
it is required for fraud prevention; or
it is needed for legal or regulatory purposes.
Waiting-list and selection information
Waiting-list information is retained while you remain eligible for selection processes.
Where you leave the waiting list, we will normally delete or anonymise the information within a reasonable period, except where limited information must be retained for legal, security or suppression purposes.
Circle membership records
Membership, payment and order records are normally retained for the duration of your membership and for up to six years afterwards where necessary for tax, accounting, contractual or legal purposes.
Order and accounting information
Order, payment, refund and accounting records are normally retained for at least six years from the end of the relevant financial period, or longer where required by law.

Correspondence connected to an order, complaint, dispute or legal claim may be retained for longer.
Marketing records
Marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or object.
Suppression records
A minimal record of an opt-out may be retained for as long as necessary to ensure that we do not contact you again against your wishes.
Cookies and analytics
Cookie and analytics information is retained for the periods identified in our cookie settings or by the relevant provider.
We may retain information for longer where:
required by law;
a complaint or dispute is ongoing;
a payment is disputed;
fraud is suspected; or
it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
14. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against:
loss;
theft;
misuse;
unauthorised access;

alteration; and
destruction.
Access to personal information is restricted to people and service providers who reasonably require it for legitimate purposes.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
15. Automated and rules-based decisions
Môr may use a random or rules-based selection process to allocate limited Circle places.
The selection process is not intended to:
profile applicants using sensitive personal characteristics;
assess creditworthiness; or
make decisions based on race, religion, health, political beliefs or other special-category information.
Where a process is automated, you may contact us to request further information about how it operates.
